意大利从来都是赛车的狂热国度，同样是来自MILESTONE还没来得及出品就被SIMBIKE发布了Superbike World Championship 2007
不过，SIMBIKE仍然坚持使用传统的Microprose的GP500来开发.

这里说说Superbike World Championship历史吧：
SBK是世界超级摩托车锦标赛（World Superbike Championship）的简称，此项赛事始于70年代的美国。由于在相同排量下，二冲程的功率大大高于四冲程赛车，所以四冲程车在赛场上明显处于劣势，所以人们参照GP（Grand Prix）大赛的规则，只使用市场销售的四冲程车进行比赛，逐渐发展成了SBK。1988年第一届SBK正式举行，155个国家37个新闻网进行了转播，影响巨大，使其成为与格兰披治(大奖)赛（GP）一样成为世界摩托车的顶级赛事。
SBK大赛的迷人之处在于：GP大赛的赛车是专为比赛而特制的，牺牲了除速度以外的所有品质，不在市场销售，大部分车迷渴望不可及，而SBK大赛使用的都是市场上能买到的超级跑车，稍微进行改装就可参赛，普通车迷即使不参赛也可到赛场领略驾驶的乐趣，另外这种比赛的广告效应十分强烈，各大厂家不惜血本进行投入和宣传，这样SBK越来越受到车迷和观众的喜爱，不断发展壮大。
