游戏发行商Ascaron公司旗下的《Runaway 2:the Dream of the Turtle》是一款梦幻般美丽的PC平台独占的卡通冒险类游戏，最早将于今年年底面市，该作目前正由来自西班牙的Pendulo工作组加紧开发当中。《the Dream of the Turtle》是号称近几年欧洲最成功的冒险解迷游戏《Runaway》系列的最新续作。
于2003年推出的前作《Runaway 1》曾受到广大玩家的一致好评，曾创下在欧洲售出六十套的骄人战绩，该作采用的是纯手绘漫画风格，冒险内容主要限定在美国展开。而此次的《the Dream of the Turtle》更是全新加入了改良的3D卡通渲染引擎，整体效果仍然保持了前作神韵，游戏图象细节度高，分辨率可达1024x768象素，采用的是3D人物与2D背景结合的方式，通过运用“全屏抗锯齿技术”以软化图形连接的边界和临界点色度和色彩，这样将人物与背景完美地混合在一起，从而解决了以往卡通渲染技术制作的游戏人物与场景格格不入的缺陷。
同时动画技术也进行了很大的改进，动态光影、环境渲染特效的运用更是使本作魅力彰显，实时变换的视角能让玩家以最佳的角度获取视觉享受，动画片断更是长达一个小时之久，大量动画喜剧元素的采用更是让玩家过足了卡通瘾，《the Dream of the Turtle》的游戏场景也将会更为丰富，多达100余处，你可上天也可入海，更可到阿拉斯加和夏威夷，其中就有豪华的游船、茂密的热带雨林、高耸的雪山、广阔的海滩以及古文明遗迹等多处景观，玩家将在这些多彩之地展开一幕幕难以忘怀的冒险。
在剧情上本作与前作有不少关联之处，收录了二十五名来自前作中的角色，其中包括我们的主人公布莱恩（Brian）、美丽的女主角吉娜（Gina）、精通电脑技术的女孩舒式（Sushi）、人高马大的警长奥斯卡（Oscar）等等。
而新加入的纳撒尼尔（Nathaniel L. Kordsmeier）则是一名邪恶军团的军官，他性情粗暴，使用一挺机枪，是一名狂热的战争变态狂；约书亚（Joshua）是一个极度疯癫的教授，不过他的智慧没有用在正道上，而是放在了诈骗的邪门歪道中；奈夫（KNIFE）是一名体育好手，擅长攀爬、跳伞、冲浪、太极拳等运动，性格开朗、乐善好施；而可蓝尼（LOKELANI）号称“男士杀手”，她性感妖艳，光彩照人，她来自夏威夷，梦想是成为一名好莱坞影星；考拉（KOALA）则是一个小孩，活泼可爱，他总是嘴里吃个不停。
游戏整体风格幽默风趣，人物举止滑稽，人物语音启用了专业人士采用法语配音，原声音乐更为动听，除了前作的曲目外，更是全新加入了歌手Vera和Vera演唱的最新乐曲，本作支持5.1环绕立体声特效。
游戏品质较之前作更是有了极大的提升，整个游戏剧情归为六大章节，游戏故事开始于美丽的太平洋小岛夏威夷，我们的女主角吉娜又将面临一场新的威胁，而布莱恩仍然将在虎口拔牙，将吉娜救出险境，前作中的那个女孩舒式也将协助他营救吉娜。
秉承前作的耐玩性，本作的游戏难度有些许提升，你将运用视觉和听觉去发现一切可能的线索，将会有更多的挑战有待玩家去完成。值得一提的是，本作对
硬件配置要求并不高，通常Windows 98/ME/2000/XP的操作
系统，奔腾III 500、128兆内存、兼容DirectX 9的显卡即可。

"Uh oh! Gina's got herself into a terribly sticky
situation. Some guy has flipped her out of a hydroplane
3000 feet above Mala, a miniscule island with a lake
containing a myriad of secrets about the mysterious past
of our planet and maybe even our future.
Weird as it may appear, to reach the lake, the player must
take on the world's most powerful army as well as lemurs,
pirates and polar bears and, last but not least, beings
gifted with extraordinary intelligence.
The craziest part of the whole tale is that the evil
miscreant who has upended Gina into the unknown is a man
called Brian: Brian Basco!"
