这款由Rogue Entertainment制作，电子艺界代理的《爱丽丝梦游魔境》（American McGee's Alice ）几乎和美丽的童话仙境没有任何的关系，相反却充满了恐怖。游戏是采用了QUAKE3引擎的第三人称冒险动作游戏，爱丽丝将用自己的勇气挑战这个危机四伏，恶鬼丛生的“仙境”。
这个游戏拥有优秀的视觉效果，不过推动气氛的主要是前Nine Inch Nails成员Chris Vrenna创作的音轨。游戏的音乐混合了玩具钢琴、铃、以及一个女声唱诗班的声音。它有效地打断了通常是提醒玩家游戏的恐怖气氛。配音效果大体上也不错，特别是游戏中那只瘦弱的露齿猫，它的讲话方式同Silence of the Lambs（沉默的羔羊）中Anthony Hopkins扮演的Hannibal Lecter一样。
